About
What is Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy?
Orthopaedic and sports physical therapy deals with the musculoskeletal system and faulty biomechanical movement patterns. Here at East Coast Physical Therapy, we treat a wide range of individuals varying in age, injury and athletic ability. Whether an athlete with a torn ligament, a weekend warrior with tennis elbow, or a senior citizen with arthritic pain, all can benefit from physical therapy.
The goal of physical therapy is to alleviate pain, restore normal movement and function, and increase strength and endurance. Educating patients, family members, coaches, athletes and trainers about their injuries is also a vital part of the recovery process.
